Fall is a time for celebration at our senior living community
Fall is a busy and exciting time at Garden of Palms. Holidays and special events are plentiful. We have many special visitors. And while we always experience and enjoy the visits of our resident’s family members, they are especially present during the holiday season. As a whole, the City of Los Angeles welcomes fall and the early winter season. The weather cools down, there are many special events, and it’s a time for our favorite seasonal foods and traditions.
We had fun planning the month of November at Garden of Palms, please take a look at what we have going on.
Staff member of the month - Andrea McLean
We’ve had the pleasure of Andrea McLean’s help and company for about two years. We like her so much, and she’s done such great work that we’ve put her in charge as our Executive Assistant. Andrea is a Los Angeles native, she has a degree in psychology from San Diego State University, and she enjoys working with us at Garden of Palms because she gets to help people every day and feel fulfilled and rewarded. We’re lucky to have her.
Key service: Assisted Living Program
Assisted living gives seniors help when they need it, privacy when they want it, and is a healthy method of making life safer, easier, and happier for older adults. This is our purpose, and our residents and their families tell us that our assisted living program is special.
Garden of Palms
Independent living and assisted living in Los Angeles
When we have new visitors, they take a moment to tell us that we love what we do, they can sense it by the feeling around our community, how we communicate, and how life here flows. This is one of the best compliments we can receive, because creating this kind of healthy atmosphere is one of our core purposes, it’s our mission. When that mission is apparent to visitors, we are succeeding.
Sometimes the services of an assisted living or independent living community are the right choice for a loved one or family member. It may not always be obvious that’s the case, and what we tell people is that they should come by for a tour and a visit. This adds context to the idea of assisted living, shows you what it can do for a loved one’s lifestyle, safety, health, and happiness. If you’re even in the early stage of considering assisted living, and you need more information, we encourage you to speak with our director who can answer all of your questions.
