Fine Dining At Garden Of Palms

There’s no wait for a table at our assisted living facility in Los Angeles, despite the excellence of our chef’s creations. All our meals are prepared from scratch, to preserve flavor and enhance health. Most of the selections on our kosher menu are low in sodium, in an effort to accommodate the dietary needs of our residents, and all breads and desserts are baked on site.

Start the day off right with a palate-tempting breakfast. We offer pancakes, eggs any style, cold and hot cereals, juices, and bagels and toast. Each day features a specialty du jour, such as bagels and lox, or cinnamon French toast.

Got a yen for potato latkes or cheese blintzes? We make them fresh for lunch; frozen and canned items are simply not in our pantry. A typical midday meal might include cold sour cherry soup or borscht, fresh salads—both vegetable and fruit options, poached salmon with dill sauce, or spinach mushroom quiche. Homemade pizzas, knishes, and noodle kugel make frequent appearances, and luncheon desserts include cannoli and cheesecake.

Our evening meal features an extensive salad bar and homemade soups, such as matzo ball, chicken noodle, or mushroom barley, for starters. The nightly entrée might be juicy beef brisket, hearty Hungarian goulash, or simmered corned beef and cabbage. For those with a sweet tooth, a lemon bar or double-fudge brownie will end the meal with a smile.

We love celebrations, and holidays—particularly Jewish holidays—and special events are honored with homemade traditional fare, including our own challah and mandelbrot. For Shabbat, the tempting fragrance and flavors of slow-cooked cholent create a convivial atmosphere.
